[June–November] Enjoy a relaxing canoe tour on Lake Shirakawa, surrounded by magnificent natural scenery. This two-hour experience gives you plenty of time to enjoy being out on the lake. With your guide, take in the mountains as they change with the seasons and the shimmering surface of the lake up close. Enjoy a special moment that engages all five senses. Spend a peaceful, restorative time surrounded by beautiful autumn foliage on a refreshing lake in Yamagata. Your guide will teach you how to paddle, so complete beginners and families can enjoy the experience safely. We use stable canoes and kayaks that are easy to paddle, even for first-time participants. Dogs are very welcome! Enjoy this activity with your four-legged companion. The launch site is directly accessible from the parking area, with no waiting time. ・Nakatsugawa Bridge Closure Due to construction, Nakatsugawa Bridge, located near the meeting point, will be closed during the following hours and dates. [Closure Period] October 13–December 11, 2026 Weekdays only 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. / 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. [Getting Here] ・From Prefectural Route 4 (via Tenoko Elementary School): You can reach us as usual. ・From the Suganuma Pass area: Nakatsugawa Bridge cannot be crossed during the closure hours. Please approach via Prefectural Route 4 (via Tenoko Elementary School). Outside the closure hours listed above, traffic will alternate in one direction at a time. ・Canoe Bring-in Discount If you would like to participate in the tour with your own canoe, please select the "Canoe Bring-in Discount" option. After the reservation is confirmed, you will receive a 2,000 yen discount per person. Please note that the system will temporarily make your reservation at the regular price. ・If You Have Concerns About Participating If you have a pre-existing medical condition or any other concerns about participating, please contact us in advance. ・About the insurance we have insured. If you are injured in an accident during the tour (from the time you meet up until the time you leave), we have insured you with accident insurance (insurance that pays a fixed amount for the number of days of treatment).   • Wear clothes that are easy to move in (long sleeves and long pants are recommended in summer to prevent sunburn and insect bites. Water falling from the paddle will especially get wet)
